I was born in Columbus, Ohio to German immigrants in a family of craftsmen and makers. The long summer days of my childhood spent exploring the woods around my home influenced my decision to become a potter. Reflections of nature and home are constant themes in my work. My ceramics education began in North Carolina in 1989 with classes and workshops taught by artists including Cynthia Bringle. Since 2012, I have furthered my ceramics education through workshops at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, CO. Having raised two daughters who currently live and work on the West coast, my husband Peter and I live in Fort Collins with our golden retriever, Aspen. My pottery can be found at Trimble Court Artisans in Fort Collins, www.trimblecourt.com.
