In 2010 I included Hideharu Igaki's pottery in an exhibition at the Lincoln Center Gallery where I was the Gallery Director. Hide invited me to take lessons from him at the Guild, which I did. For the next five years or so I took perhaps one or two classes a year, with no practice in between, but something about working with clay stuck with me. I eventually took classes more regularly and joined the Guild in 2015 as a way to make a commitment to myself to practice and learn. Working with clay and being part of the Guild community bring me endless adventures, challenges, and joy.
