Service Description
**To purchase a took kit, select 'add to cart' when booking your class** This introductory ceramics course teaches the fundamentals of wheel throwing and basic clay studio practices. Students will learn how to prepare clay, center and throw forms on the pottery wheel, trim and finish pieces, and apply glaze techniques. Through demonstrations, guided practice, and critiques, students will develop foundational technical skills while exploring creativity and craftsmanship in functional pottery. Prerequisite: None. Tools Needed: Throwing Tool Kit (Add to cart when registering) INSTRUCTOR BIOGRAPHY: Erin is a Fort Collins native who teaches elementary art. She has been doing pottery since college and after graduating from the University of South Dakota returned and continued making pottery here in town. She has been a guild member for the last three years and enjoys making wheel thrown pottery, especially mugs.
